CE ESTE “BREAKFAST”
Micul dejun este masa cea mai importanta a zilei in timpul caruia citim 
presa. Daca mai mult decit informatie am primi si reactii, am putea 
reactiona si am gasi modalitati noi de interferenta, altele decit cele 
obisnuite?
“BREAKFAST” cauta sa transceada traditionalele granite intre cercetare, 
educatie si expunere si cauta noi forme de exprimare si comunicare 
discursiva incercind sa ofere raspunsuri noi la intrebari vechi legate 
de politica, estetica, forma, fond, continut si sa reevalueze 
conventiile cotidianului. 
Considerind afirmatiile de mai sus, "Breakfast" incearca sa reconsidere 
subiecte ca retorica, populism, economie, tehnologism, umanism, 
politica, diviziunea muncii, relativism, solidaritate, postcolonialism 
sau incluziune, utilizind instrumente transdomeniale: proiecte 
curatoriale, proiecte educationale si interventii artistice.
“BREAKFAST” este un punct de propuneri, dezbateri, analize asupra 
scenei artei contemporane si contextul international in care aceasta 
actioneaza. Este un proiect-baza de discutii pentru problemele 
contemporane, ca un dublet analitic-(re)productiv aproape foucaultian.
Dorim sa incurajam comunicarea, consultarea – chiar colaborarea – intre 
artistii, curatorii si teoreticienii implicati, facilitind schimbul de 
cunostinte si intelegerea reciproca.
INSTRUMENTE
Varianta online a proiectului este o serie de bloguri realizate 
teoreticieni, analisti politici, antropologi, artisti, curatori, care 
vor explora, la nivel teoretic, posibile misiuni politice si sociale 
ale practicii artistice precum si necesitatea contextualizarii 
demersului artistic.
In spiritul multilingvismului, "BREAKFAST" va utiliza doua limbi: 
romana si engleza, iar in spirit democratic orice participant la 
proiect este liber sa aleaga limba care ii este confortabila.
In forma live, "Breakfast" va include o serie de dezbateri si 
conferinte pe teme socio-politice, precum si proiecte educationale si 
noi forme discursive.
CINE SINT AUTORII
Autorii blogurilor vor fi pentru prima etapa Catalin Avramescu 
(profesor de stiinte politice, editorialist si analist politic), Eugen 
Radescu (teoretician, curator si co-director al BUCHAREST BIENNALE), 
Felix Vogel (teoretician si curator) si Razvan Ion (teoretician, artist 
si co-editor al PAVILION).
Revista PAVILION va beneficia de propriul blog ce se va transforma 
intr-o platforma-structura informativa.
Director de proiect este Andreea Manolache, iar conceptia tehnica a 
fost realizata de Alexandru Enachioaie (alexandru.e@gmail.com).

CE ESTE PAVILION
PAVILION este o revista internationala de arta si cultura contemporana, 
de limba engleza, distribuita pe patru continente.
Titlul revistei, PAVILION, este o aluzie la structura relativ temporara 
a artei contemporane.
Revista prezinta, in fiecare numar, un continut multi-disciplinar si 
cuprinzator prin variate formate de articole, eseuri, interviuri si 
proiecte ale artistilor romani si internationali.
Publicatia nu incearca sa descrie, dar sa si intervina in scena 
culturala, politica si sociala.
PAVILION este producatorul BUCHAREST BIENNALE.

WHAT`S BREAKFAST
The breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast means 
reading the newspapers. What if we could get not just mere information 
but also reactions to those events, could we react ourselves and would 
we have the opportunity to find new means of interference-different to 
the usual ones?
BREAKFAST seeks to transcend the traditional borders between research, 
education and presentation and looks for new ways of expression and 
communication trying to find new answers to some old questions related 
to politics, aesthetics and content and to reevaluate the conventions 
of everyday life.
Considering all these, BREAKFAST investigates subjects like rhetoric, 
populism, technology, humanism, politics, relativism, solidarity, post 
colonialism or inclusion by means of curatorial, artistic and 
educational projects.
BREAKFAST is a platform of debates on contemporary issues that involves 
proposals, debates, analyses of the contemporary art scene and the 
international context in which it operates, almost like 
analytic-(re)productive foucaultian dublet.
The project encourages communication, consulting and different forms of 
collaboration between artists, curators and theoreticians involved in 
this process by exchanging knowledge and practices about the production 
of knowledge.
INSTRUMENTS
BREAKFAST (online) is a series of blogs kept by theoreticians, 
political analysts, anthropologists, artists and curators.  BREAKFAST 
online series explores on a theoretical level the political and social 
mission of artistic practice with its necessity of being 
contextualized. 
The blogs are written in English or Romanian depending on each 
participant`s option.
The project has also a live form that includes public debates and 
conferences on the same issues within social political and aesthetic 
discourses as discussed online.
The bloggers
The first bloggers involved in BREAKFAST are Catalin Avramescu 
(Professor of Political Science, journalist and political analist), 
Eugen Radescu (theoretician, curator and co-director of Bucharest 
Biennale), Felix Vogel (theoretician and curator) and Razvan Ion 
(theoretician, artist and co-editor of PAVILION magazine).
PAVILION magazine is developing its own blog as an informative 
platform/structure.
The project director of BREAKFAST is Andreea Manolache and the online 
version is technical designed by Alexandru Enachioaie 
(alexandru.e@gmail.com).
